Happy full moon in Leo. 🌕🦁
As we near the end of Aquarius season we hit the full moon in Leo at 24º. Air meets fire in opposition. A desire to be seen on a personal level with the desire to be part of the collective whole. This is a tug of war where we fight from the heart to retain our individuality and stand in our truth whilst showing up to be the best version of ourselves.
The sun in Aquarius merges its energy in a conjunction with Mercury fresh after its magical Cazimi through the sun where it gained knowledge and insight and emerging the other side as an evening star where it takes on a more sombre and contemplative nature. In Aquarius Mercury expresses itself as more emotionally detached than usual and so we can tap into this energy to find a fresh and more rational perspective on things. This gives insight - how do we need to change our thought patterns to break the mould and tap into the energy of change that Uranus as the apex of a powerful T-square is asking of us. Maybe we see things differently when we tap into our Leo heart emotion and apply logic and rationale?
The moon in Leo is all about our heart and our desires. How will we show up for the world in our true authenticity. Have we allowed ourselves to shine fully or have we hidden in the shadow for fear of being judged. If we have held back then this energy asks to reassess. Step out from the shadows and start to be in the light. Leo loves to shine and take the centre spotlight. Uranus provides the electrical charge to get going and do something about this. However there is also a lovely trine between Saturn in Pisces and Mars in retrograde in Cancer reminding us that shining is not just a fleeting moment of fame but stepping into our true soul path to create a long lasting and emotionally true impression of who we really are. As Leo is the heart we must express from the heart and find the courage to be true to ourselves.
Uranus in Taurus wishes to break us out of the comfort zone. It forms the apex of a powerful and electrically charged T-Square formation with the Sun and Moon (a T-Square is comprised of an opposition (sun and moon) and two squares from those to a point known as the apex planet where the energy becomes focused and needs to be released).
Uranus is the planet of change and freedom. It provides the momentum for sudden insights, conversations or thought patterns that can come out of the blue and accelerate or trigger a lightbulb moment! This is enlightening and disruptive all at once.
The Sabian symbol for this lunation is - Leo 25: A large camel crossing the desert - Independent and self reliant the camel is able to survive in the desert by its reserve of water that it carries in its hump. This symbol is representative of showing us the way forward through self reliance and independent self expression. We may block our spiritual progress and gifts when we rely on others to take the lead or when we do not allow ourselves to express through our heart space. When we tread our own path we can take pride in our actions and our rewards as we know they are gained by our own hand. We must have the confidence to shine.
Overcoming self doubt I would say is a big theme of this moon. When we wait for others or let others sway our intentions we block our own unique spiritual path and souls progression. Taurus is a fixed sign and Uranus here wishes to break that rigidity. It will make us question our belief systems, question our self worth and rock the proverbial safety raft.
As a spark of change is ignited something deep within is lit. A fire starts to burn and a passion starts to grow. Unexpected events or revelations could trigger a change, however most of all it will come from within through self realisation that will lead to self fulfilment. It is time to step up - so allow the fire to rise and let the courage and passion of Leo shine through. For when we break from the restraints and unleash the chains we allow the lion to roar!
