Today, an exalted moon rises in the sky. A quiet whisper reminding us of the value of self-worth, self-love love and personal power. The moon is exalted in Taurus as the moon is our emotion and the way we feel secure, and Taurus is a comforting earth sign that revels in stability. The result is finding a way to be grounded, comfortable, secure and emotionally fulfilled.
An exalted Venus in Pisces (who is the chart ruler) is currently separating from her recent meeting with authoritarian Saturn and the North Node of fate. Venus is exalted in Pisces as she represents here a connection to the divine and ways in which we can express our desires at the most optimal level. This is all about being the best version of ourselves.
Saturn restricts, but also sets healthy boundaries. It revels in structure and plans, and even though sometimes we resent the authoritarian nature of Saturn, we must remember that his lessons are there in our best interests. This is bout creating lasting frameworks to support an optimal life journey.Ā Conversations to curb excess - pull it back a bit and look at the future has been happening. Taurus rules sensuality and money. Have we been overindulging? Maybe this is a time to review our spending habits and set budgets. Know when enough is enough and too much is far too much. Time to be happy with what we have and be grateful for what we are offered.Ā As Taurus rules food and our earthly body, we could also look at ways to implement new food or exercise routines to support our long-term well-being.Ā
The moon is creating a T-Square with the current Mars/Pluto opposition. A difficult transit which highlights conflicts - these may be in ourselves or with others. Mars/Pluto is inflammatory. Mars is in Leo which is fire and Pluto is in Aquarius which is air, SO a lot of hot air! This could manifest in heated disagreements or arguments, so be cautious when dealing with others⦠maybe some conversations need to be left for a few days until this period cools. It can also manifest in inflammation in the body, so take it easy this weekend - watch what you consume (eat, buy, watch). The apex of this T-Square is the moon, which creates a release point or even a realisation.Ā
An interesting point to come into play is Black Moon Lilith, who sits opposite the new moon and forms the missing point of the T-Square to form an explosive Grand Cross. Lilith is our shadow moon. She offers an invitation to look at our self-worth. How do we self-sagotage and why? By examining repeating patterns and discovering the root cause, we can find peace and healing within. She offers transformation through dark wisdom. This is about learning to nurture ourselves without needing constant external validation.Ā
As an interesting point, the wise asteroid Pallas Athena is creating a perfect trine to jovial Jupiter in Gemini. Jupiter wishes encourage and push us to follow our dreams. Pallas represents our independent spirit and wishes us to be free! She encourages personal, authentic expression and pushes us to follow the beat of our own drum. She is a master at strategic warfare - so following intuition and getting to the heart of the matter and coming up with a plan (Saturn loves this!) in order to succeed. She also helps recognise patterns along with Lilith, supporting the new moon theme of self-worth, self-love love and self-recognition.Ā
āI am enough. I do enough. I have enough.ā Perfect mantra I think for this moon. This is all about improvement and functioning at an optimal level. Self-worth is key. Love yourself, so be kind to yourself. Plant seeds under a new moon. What do you want to grow and how will you nourish that which you grow?Ā
Sabian Symbol: 8Āŗ Taurus - A sleigh on land uncovered by snow. Dane Rudyar describes this as āThe value of anticipating and preparing for expectable conditions.ā Be future-thinking and anticipate what is to come. Be prepared for the worst and the best. If we bury our heads in the sand, then we cannot meet lifeās challenges head on.Ā
Themes to think about:
š What do I valueĀ
šHow do I value it
š How can I nourish myself
š How can I feel secure
š What do I need and where and why am I creating excess
š How can I accept that I have enough
š How can I make myself feel secure
š What do I need to change in order to live my best life
Remember in order to live life to the full, we sometimes need to take a good, hard look in the mirror and see beneath the reflection. When we dig deep and accept who we are, we can take responsibility for our lives and stop externalising our needs. For really, it is all within and we have everything we need. Have faith and trust and believe in the path. A cosmic kick of realisation is sometimes needed to steer us back on the straight and narrow, however hard it may seem at the time!
With much love

M O O NĀ G A R D E N I N G: New moons are a time to sow seeds. Not quite yet though, as planning is needed - sow them in your head first. It can be quite easy to go a bit gung-ho and get carried away, but remember this moon is about curbing excess and growing that which NOURISHES both body, mind and soul. So maybe get the seed packets out and make a strategic plan. Do I need all this? Will I eat all this? Do I have room to grow all this and do I have time to tend to all this? BE realistic. Also, I would wait for the crescent to glimmer through before actioning and planting. Think, plan, act. Happy growing season!
